Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Procurement Specialist. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with the role including but not limited to, bidding/estimating, customer engagement, relationship building, creating and managing product specification sheets, account management growth, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities by establishing and maintaining customer relationships. Understand the unique needs of potential clients and tailor custom cable solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Sales Strategy: Leverage market research to identify key industries and sectors where custom cable solutions and installation services can make a significant impact.
  • Client Engagement: Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, and on-site visits to engage with potential clients. Address inquiries and provide consultation to guide clients in making informed decisions.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver proposals that outline the scope of custom cable solutions and installation services, including pricing and delivery timelines.
  • Sales Tracking: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in the CRM system. Generate sales reports and provide regular updates to the sales manager.
  • Market Awareness: Stay current on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies related to custom cables and cable installation services. Use this knowledge to position Megladon as a leader in the field.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including product specialists, engineers, and customer support, to provide clients with comprehensive solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years or more experience in procurement, purchasing or similar role.
  • Manufacturing Field procurement experience is highly preferred.
  • Fiber Optic Field procurement experience is also preferred and valued.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
