Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Alltex Staffing & Personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring products and services while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement and Sourcing:
    • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers.
    • Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
  • Order Management:
    • Place purchase orders based on inventory requirements and forecasted demand.
    • Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery.
    • Resolve issues related to orders, including discrepancies and delays.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
    • Assess supplier performance and address any performance issues.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Inventory Control:
    • Monitor inventory levels to meet the company's operational needs.
    • Implement control measures to minimize excess stock and shortages.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Cost Management:
    • Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
    • Balance cost and quality of goods and services.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.
    • Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities and financial performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with internal departments to understand procurement needs.
    • Communicate effectively with suppliers, management, and other stakeholders.
    • Participate in cross-functional teams to support company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and purchasing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with occasional visits to supplier facilities.
  • May require occasional travel for supplier meetings or industry events.
