Position Summary:

The Human Resources Associate plays a vital role in the daily operations of the HR department, overseeing the implementation of policies, procedures, and programs. This position encompasses various HR functions, including payroll management, benefits administration, Human Resource Information Systems, and recruitment of hourly employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with payroll and benefits processes.
  • Coordinate employee recognition and engagement events.
  • Provide guidance to employees on work-related matters.
  • Manage the recruitment process for hourly positions using designated tools and software.
  • Maintain compliance records for EEO and affirmative action reporting.
  • Collaborate with management to address daily labor requirements and oversee production labor in accordance with union agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Prior internships or cooperative education experience in HR is essential.
  • Exemplary professionalism and ethical standards are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in conflict resolution, are necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a unionized work environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
