Human Resources Specialist - Full-time

Position Overview

The Human Resources Specialist plays a vital role in the execution of HR practices and provides daily administrative support. Key objectives include enhancing the performance of management and staff by leveraging your skills and experience to support the organization's ongoing growth; adding value to the company; serving as the primary contact for all HR-related inquiries; and offering guidance and support to managers and employees.

Responsibilities
  • Advise and assist managers with recruitment, reference checks, employment verifications, and other hiring processes.
  • Oversee training and development on all relevant HR matters, including terminations, performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Conduct routine HR training sessions for all staff and management.
  • Ensure compliance with the organization's conflict resolution policies and procedures.
  • Establish and clarify policies and processes for employees and supervisors, ensuring consistent application.
  • Perform regular audits for training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to review and update policies in accordance with current legislation and best practices.
  • Maintain HR Policies & Procedures and the Employee Handbook.
  • Administer disciplinary procedures and conduct investigations regarding employee conduct to assist in making disciplinary recommendations.
  • Monitor and manage all Workers' Compensation and Unemployment Claims.
  • Support office operations and assist with administrative tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws, labor relations, and regulations.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present and facilitate effectively.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, sensitivity, and creativity in response to changing needs and situations.
  • Capable of working independently on a variety of projects.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective communication with diverse levels within the organization and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related business field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant Human Resources experience.
  • Experience with benefits administration, performance management, policy implementation, payroll, and workforce challenges preferred.
  • Willingness to work full-time and additional hours as needed to complete assigned tasks.
