General Summary:

The Human Resources Specialist will oversee the daily operations of the HR department, which includes recruiting and interviewing personnel, managing compensation and benefits, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitors, documents, and ensures compliance with both mandatory and optional training, ongoing education, and performance evaluations. This may encompass safety protocols, anti-harassment initiatives, professional certifications, and skill assessments.
  • Identifies, interviews, and supports the recruitment of qualified candidates for open roles; collaborates with department heads to ascertain the necessary skills and qualifications for vacancies.
  • Conducts or arranges for background checks and verifies employee eligibility.
  • Facilitates orientation and onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Performs routine tasks essential for the administration and execution of HR programs, including but not limited to compensation management, benefits administration, employee leave, workplace safety, and professional development.
  • Addresses employment-related inquiries from candidates, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Manages vendor relationships and reconciles invoices to ensure accurate financial tracking.
  • Oversees employee record management to guarantee information is precise, comprehensive, and compliant.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and best practices; regularly reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
  • Stays informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and advancements in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to navigate various departments within the organization.
