We are seeking an experienced Director of Customer Marketing to spearhead our marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President of Product Marketing, this role requires a dynamic marketer who can navigate both strategic and operational aspects of building this new function. The Director will collaborate closely with our Advertiser Solutions team to craft engaging, multi-product narratives tailored for agency holding company clients, leveraging the comprehensive advantages of the PubMatic ecosystem.
Your influence will extend to direct customer interactions, creating bespoke opportunities that drive revenue growth among our key accounts. This role is crucial in guiding PubMatic's transition from a Supply-Side Platform (SSP) to a technology leader focused on maximizing customer value through innovative digital advertising solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic marketing partner to sales teams, providing consultative support.
- Design compelling solutions that align with client marketing goals by utilizing relevant products from the PubMatic suite.
- Develop customized narratives and insightful materials for key clients to enhance engagement and optimize supply path deals.
- Work closely with commercial teams to educate and inspire clients, addressing their primary challenges and improving outcomes.
- Contribute to integrated marketing proposals in response to client requests, showcasing the benefits of our comprehensive solutions.
- Utilize internal and external research to inform marketing strategies and recommendations.
- Serve as a bridge between commercial teams and product marketing.
- Oversee significant customer marketing initiatives, including global quarterly business reviews and custom solution marketing.
- Collaborate with corporate and experiential marketing to create tailored account-based marketing strategies.
- Engage actively in customer meetings, presenting insights and strategies.
Desired Qualifications:
- 7-10+ years of relevant experience, ideally within an agency, brand, or a combination of both.
- Strong understanding of the programmatic advertising landscape and buy-side solutions.
- Experience in sales enablement, particularly with B2B sales teams.
- Proven track record in Customer Marketing or related fields such as Client Solutions or Integrated Marketing.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with extensive presentation experience.
- Ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders across product, commercial, and engineering teams.
- A passion for advertising, particularly in the programmatic space.
- Self-driven, inquisitive, and proactive, with an understanding of industry trends.
- Skilled at simplifying complex concepts into clear customer narratives.
- A collaborative mindset with a focus on fostering strong internal and external relationships.
Compensation: Base salary range of $150,000 - $165,000, with additional benefits including bonuses and stock options.
