The Flatbed Freight Sales Specialist is tasked with nurturing relationships within our carrier network to ensure optimal service delivery for our clientele.

Your Role: Based in our Chicago office, we are seeking a dedicated Carrier Sales Specialist. In this role, you will manage relationships with our carrier network to ensure high-quality, cost-effective service for our clients. FLATBED FREIGHT SALES SPECIALIST

Key Responsibilities:
Establish connections with new carriers

  • Maintain relationships with existing carriers to ensure exceptional service for our current clients
  • Negotiate competitive pricing with carriers based on prevailing market conditions
  • Provide load details and shipment specifications to carrier dispatchers and drivers throughout the shipment process
  • Track shipment progress daily to guarantee coverage, timely delivery, and address any issues that arise during transit
  • Relay load updates, concerns, and issues to sales representatives

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Carrier Sales or Logistics Operations; experience in a 3PL environment is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of Flatbed logistics is essential; familiarity with dry van, reefer, and partial loads is advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation abilities, attention to detail, and precision
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and diligent
  • Highly driven to achieve success
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • Ability to remain persistent and maintain a positive attitude
  • Willingness to manage shipments outside of regular business hours when necessary
  • A robust book of business in Flatbed freight is preferred
