This position serves as a vital liaison for our carrier partners, necessitating exceptional relationship management skills and a proactive approach to utilizing operational and project management expertise to deliver top-tier service and optimize collaborations between SageSure and its carrier partners.
The Carrier Operations team operates under the Office of the CEO, characterized by its agility and responsiveness.
Engaging with the highest levels of the organization, this team collaborates with C-Suite executives and other Senior Leaders to cultivate robust operational partnerships and effectively manage our carrier portfolios.
This role presents an opportunity to significantly influence various departments at SageSure as we pursue our ambitious growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary operational contact for each of SageSure's carrier partners
Oversee the intake, triage, and coordination of cross-functional requests across all facets of SageSure's carrier relationships (e.g., Finance, Product Development & Implementation, Business Intelligence, Data Management, etc.)
Establish operational KPIs/Carrier Health Scorecards and regularly communicate results to SageSure leadership
Design and execute strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing operations and enhancing carrier operational health
Monitor updates in Insurance Products and inform our carrier partners of pertinent changes
Ensure the successful implementation of key underwriting and portfolio profitability initiatives (e.g., rate & guideline adjustments, exposure management efforts, etc.)
Drive compliance with contractual obligations across the organization
Coordinate the delivery of statutory and regulatory reporting and data requests, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
Maintain a schedule of statutory and regulatory reporting obligations, as well as internal and external audits, to prioritize and meet all deadlines
Create a repository of operating procedures and reference materials for the Carrier Operations team
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance operations, preferably within the homeowners insurance sector
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional projects
Experience in developing and managing scalable processes
Strong presentation skills with comfort in engaging executive audiences
Ability to draft comprehensive business requirements and project plans
High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Capability to mentor and develop team members
A data-driven decision-making approach
A meticulous attention to detail and commitment to precision
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA
Relevant insurance designations such as CPCU, ARe, ARM, AINS, etc.
Project Management Professional Certification
Proficiency in SQL, Alteryx, Domo, PowerBI
Experience with Smartsheet, Jira
Knowledge of insurance carrier regulatory requirements and industry best practices
