Position Summary:

In the role of Commercial Insurance Sales Executive, you will be instrumental in the team’s success, ensuring precise policy updates, fostering effective communication among all parties, and aiding in the expansion of the commercial insurance portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Policy Oversight: Ensure accurate entry of policy updates and account details.
  • Client Engagement: Interact with clients, producers, and insurance underwriters to resolve inquiries related to policies and coverage.
  • Marketing & Proposals: Spearhead the marketing and proposal process for new business and policy renewals.
  • Renewal Oversight: Identify, gather, and manage information pertinent to account renewals.
  • Consistent Communication: Maintain regular and timely communication with agency clients and insurance representatives.
  • Business Growth: Play a role in acquiring new business opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Must possess a valid Property & Casualty Insurance license.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in an independent agency or retail brokerage environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial lines coverage and rating.
  • Carrier Relations: Proven track record of working with various insurance carriers and directly engaging with their underwriters.
  • Technological Skills: Familiarity with online rating platforms and various insurance carrier systems.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with insurance software such as Applied TAM, EPIC, or AMS360.
  • Office Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Existing Clientele: Having an existing book of business is a considerable advantage.
