Position Overview:

The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for executing key functions that support both the Sales Executive and clients in addressing service requirements and modifying existing accounts. This role encompasses specific service and marketing duties, ensuring adherence to established service and sales delivery standards while maintaining the agency's quality benchmarks.

Important Notes:

  • This role requires a hybrid work arrangement.
  • Compensation ranges from $70,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Service and Support:

  • Provide expert technical assistance to the Sales Executive/Account Executive in assessing client requirements.
  • Occasionally accompany the Sales Executive/Account Executive to client meetings and prospect discussions.
  • Coordinate application processes with the Sales Executive/Account Executive, ensuring timely submission to appropriate carriers and following up for quotations.
  • Issue binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and related documents, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to clients.
  • Assess billing methods and process invoices accordingly.
  • Prepare insurance summaries, schedules, and proposals for clients.
  • Review policy audits for accuracy and facilitate necessary corrections between clients and carriers.
  • Manage incoming correspondence and inquiries, responding in a timely manner.
  • Utilize agency credit and collection policies for invoicing and payment follow-ups.
  • Identify cancellation requests, work to retain accounts, and inform the Sales Executive/Account Executive as needed.
  • Process cancellation requests with carriers, ensuring accurate and prompt resolution.
  • Assist clients with initial claims submissions, ensuring swift responses from carriers and follow-up on claims status.
  • Evaluate potential loss exposures and recommend suitable coverage options in collaboration with the Sales Executive/Account Executive.
  • Conduct online rating for quotes and maintain updated loss run records.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and management within the Applied EPIC system.

Professional Development:

  • Prioritize and manage workflows to guarantee efficient processing of transactions and responsibilities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new products, regulations, and technologies to enhance knowledge and performance.
  • Employ effective communication skills to foster collaboration and provide guidance to achieve agency objectives.
  • Maintain professional and constructive relationships with clients, colleagues, vendors, and business partners.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A college degree with at least 3 years of insurance experience or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Possession of a valid Property Casualty Broker-Agent license is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance products and their applications.
  • Familiarity with insurance markets and resources.
  • Able to manage complex tasks involving various concrete and abstract factors.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting and computer work are expected.
  • Ability to lift or move items weighing up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Compensation:

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $85,000, with additional benefits based on experience and skill level.
