Job Title: Senior Director, Business Development West Coast

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Director of Business Development to join our team on the West Coast. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies to drive growth and revenue in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze industry trends and develop annual business plans for specific market segments and assigned accounts.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of sales plans, including forecasting territory sales and activity objectives.
  • Plan and implement monthly objectives of the sales action plan, including budgeting of time and resources, and communication with staff as appropriate.
  • Develop account strategies for all appropriate clients and anticipate and identify client challenges, real and perceived, and partner with the appropriate operations team leader to provide solutions in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records within the database for accounts (active and targeted) within the geographic territory.
  • Maintain current professional level of knowledge in Central Nervous System (CNS), Oncology, Pediatrics and Data Management information to serve as a basis for providing "value added" expanded Company services to all appropriate clients.
  • Participate in weekly updates to management and the Business Development team of new activities in the assigned territory, with urgent and important issues being shared with management as they arise.
  • Actively participate at professional meetings and conventions as appropriate.
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in a science-related field, or equivalent related education and experience.
  • Experience working in a sales/relationship building role, and experience within the Clinical Trial Industry with in-depth experience and knowledge of Pharma Industry is a MUST.
  • Proven track record at mid/high-level contacts and experience selling full clinical research services, recruitment and or retention technologies, eClinical, CRO (including APPs, Telehealth, eConsent, Websites).
  • Strong at opening new opportunities as well as sourcing opportunities.
  • Strong sales skills with a proven track record as an individual contributor.
  • Excellent communication, effective presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Collaborative with a commitment to collaboration within and across departments. Provide clear direction and accountabilities with strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple priorities.
  • Strong motivational and influence skills.
  • Excellent skills using MS Office Suite and Google Applications.
  • Up to 30% travel for company meetings, client meetings and industry conferences, as needed.
  • Experience working in CRM (i.e., salesforce).
  • Ability to communicate in English (both verbal and written).
What We Offer:

Syneos Health offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $190,000, a company car or car allowance, health benefits, company match 401k, eligibility to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan, eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and individual performance, and flexible paid time off (PTO) and sick time.
