Job Overview

The Construction Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the execution of various construction and restoration projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position requires collaboration with subcontractors to define project scopes and negotiate pricing effectively. The Project Manager will report to the Branch Manager or Regional Operations Manager and will engage with various departments as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate clear communication with clients, team members, and subcontractors regarding project expectations, timelines, and scope of work.
  • Assist in negotiating project costs and securing necessary approvals from the Regional Operations Manager.
  • Supervise subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with project agreements and client satisfaction.
  • Implement tracking systems to monitor subcontractor performance and maintain updated job records.
  • Collaborate with Regional Project Managers or Project Directors to establish budgets and timelines for restoration projects.
  • Collect, review, and submit all necessary documentation and work orders to enable timely progress and final billings.
  • Maintain and adjust project budgets and schedules as needed.
  • Coordinate subcontractor schedules to ensure timely project execution.
  • Assess subcontractor performance, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective measures.
  • Secure permits from local authorities as required.
  • Complete and manage paperwork related to client and subcontractor change orders.
  • Promote and uphold the company’s commitment to a safe working environment.

  • Proven experience in commercial construction, particularly in supervisory or project management roles.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and managing project budgets, including monitoring and reporting.
  • A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.
  • Relevant industry certifications are advantageous.
  • Strong ability to foster and maintain customer relationships, enhancing the company’s reputation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels.
  • Strong time management abilities, with a focus on prioritization and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook and other software, with the ability to create basic Excel and Word documents (experience with Xactimate is a plus).

Working Conditions

The working conditions for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Occasional heavy lifting (up to 20 lbs).
  • Willingness to work after hours and on weekends as necessary.
  • Potential requirement to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) based on project needs.
  • Daily commuting is a necessity.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support project demands.
