Position Overview
As a Public Utilities Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the Reservation Program and ensuring its effective implementation. Your key responsibilities will include:

Policy Development: Lead the formulation, execution, assessment, and modification of policies and procedures related to the Reservation Program, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of new transmission products and processes.

Project Management: Plan, develop, and execute compliance-focused projects and analyses to evaluate and propose improvements for Transmission service activities.

Issue Resolution: Investigate and address complex issues and technical challenges within the Reservation Program.

Customer Collaboration: Work closely with clients and the Marketing and Sales teams to navigate the intricate process of completing the competition process and service authorization.

Request Management: Remove expired requests in accordance with established business practices and inform affected parties.

Training and Documentation: Create, update, and maintain procedural documentation to ensure that all Reservationists can consistently execute Reservation Desk processes.

Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must be U.S. Citizens and comply with the following conditions:
  • Participation in the e-Verify program.
  • Compliance with Selective Service registration for males.
  • This role requires physical presence at the designated worksite as specified by the supervisor.

Background Check: A preliminary background investigation is mandatory before commencing employment.

Specialized Experience: Candidates must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service, which includes:

  • Leading the development and revision of policies and procedures to enhance transmission efficiency.
  • Providing guidance on reservations policies and practices.
  • Facilitating training on advanced transmission products and services.
