Position Summary:

We are in search of a dedicated Project Engineer to contribute to our esteemed and diverse Transportation Division. This role is particularly suited for candidates with a strong background in transportation engineering.

Your Responsibilities:

Ideal candidates will be technically proficient, motivated, and possess a valid P.E. license, with experience in State DOT and Municipal Projects.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to develop transportation project plans for public infrastructure initiatives.
  • Leading design efforts for roadway alignment, grading, drainage, pavement, utilities, and stormwater management.
  • Preparing quantities, specifications, and contract documents for State DOT and Municipal projects across the East Coast.
  • Participating in fieldwork as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Must hold a valid P.E. license.
  • 5-10 years of experience in transportation infrastructure design.
  • Experience with CTDOT is preferred.
  • Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
  • Business development experience is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate as a team, maintain client relationships, and meet project deadlines.

Compensation:

MJ is committed to ensuring fair and equitable compensation for all employee-owners. The salary range provided is an estimate and may vary based on factors such as work location, relevant experience, educational background, licensure, and qualifications.

Pay Range: $35-$55/hr excluding incentive compensation/profit performance plan.
