Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to enhance our esteemed Transportation Division. This role is ideal for candidates with a passion for engineering and a commitment to delivering high-quality public infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will be licensed Professional Engineers (P.E.) with a solid background in State DOT and Municipal Projects. Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop transportation project plans.
  • Leading the design of roadway alignments, grading, drainage, pavement, utilities, and stormwater management.
  • Preparing specifications and contract documents for various public infrastructure projects across the East Coast.
  • Engaging in fieldwork as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is mandatory.
  • 5-10 years of experience in transportation infrastructure design.
  • Experience with CTDOT is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer is essential.
  • Business development experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and maintain client relationships.

Compensation:

MJ is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all employee-owners. The pay range for this position is approximately $35-$55/hr, excluding incentive compensation. Actual salary may vary based on factors such as work location, relevant experience, educational background, and licensure.
