Your Role
As a key member of our team, you will provide expert technical support and direction in the planning, engineering, design, and management of roadways and their networks, including their interaction with various transportation modes and terminals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct capacity analyses and assist in the development and design of traffic concepts.
- Analyze traffic patterns and implement modeling techniques, including traffic signal design and timing studies.
- Create pavement marking designs and sign plans to enhance roadway safety and efficiency.
Your Impact
- Establish effective methods for gathering, compiling, and analyzing data from various sources, including surveys, GIS data, and technical documents for project development and design.
- Perform thorough investigations and inspections of existing and proposed site conditions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Innovate and design strategic improvements for intersections and corridors, coordinating with authorities and clients to ensure successful project execution.
- Develop advanced modeling techniques and operational strategies that prioritize safety and functionality for all users of the transportation system.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, planners, and scientists to manage multiple projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Engage with developers to assess the impact of new constructions on the transportation network and propose mitigation strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and visualizations, including tables and charts, to present findings and analyses effectively.
- Maintain high standards of quality control for measurements, statistical analysis, and reporting.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in engineering with a focus on traffic design.
- EIT certification and familiarity with traffic signal design principles are essential.
- Proficient understanding of traffic engineering principles, project management, and relevant compliance practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently while leading and supporting junior team members.
- Proficiency in technical writing and relevant software tools, including AutoCAD and traffic simulation platforms.
