Compensation Overview

Competitive Salary Range: $90,000 to $120,000

Position Overview
This role is posted on behalf of our Placing Division, Harris Rebar Placing LLC. The successful candidate will be engaged with Harris Rebar Placing LLC.


Key Responsibilities
As the leader of Harris Rebar Placing Field Operations at the Branch, you will oversee and nurture the development of managers, supervisors, and emerging leaders. You will collaborate with the Branch Manager and team to fulfill strategic objectives.

Safety is paramount at Nucor; therefore, candidates must exhibit the capability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety protocols, practices, and cleanliness standards consistently.

Your Duties Include:
• Cultivating a safety-oriented culture within the branch and region, demonstrating leadership through a committed approach to employee safety across all operations.

• Ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures established by Nucor Rebar Fabrication's Safety Team.

• Communicating Harris Placing's safety and production standards to contractors and customers.

• Pre-planning work to guarantee the availability of necessary labor, tools, and equipment.

• Collaborating with the Branch Manager and other department heads to identify growth opportunities in your market.

• Coordinating with the Branch Manager and teams to ensure effective execution of the Rebar Contractor Strategy.

• Partnering with Nucor Rebar Fabrication's management to develop strategies for detailing, fabrication, and installation that ensure safety and profitability for the branch.

• Building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships alongside the Branch Manager and team.

• Implementing a sales and bidding strategy that supports the 'Rebar Contractor Model' Supply and Install package.

• Sharing best practices with management and assisting in their implementation as appropriate.

• Reviewing safety and production outcomes on projects to identify improvement opportunities and facilitate their execution.

• Keeping the Branch Manager informed about safety, bidding, awards, productivity, and profitability metrics.

• Collaborating with the Branch Manager to create a succession plan and training for team members with potential for growth.

• Coaching Supervisors and key team members, motivating them to achieve Nucor Rebar Fabrication's vision and values.

• Working with the billing department to ensure all billable items are documented and invoiced.

• Communicating and clarifying company policies and procedures to your department, ensuring adherence.

• Assisting the Branch Manager in developing an annual budget aligned with market share goals for the branch.

• Fostering relationships within the local construction and business community alongside the Branch Manager.

• Maintaining a productive relationship with the local Ironworker's International Union Local.

• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Rebar Installation, with at least 5 years in pricing installation.

• At least 5 years in a supervisory capacity, including pricing and managing work.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Reinforcing Steel sector.

• At least 5 years of experience with Post Tensioning.

Preferred Qualifications
• STSC Certification.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

• Proficient in computer applications, particularly Word and Excel.

Additional Information:
• Travel and frequent site visits are required.

• Personal protective equipment such as safety boots, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and armguards must be worn on-site.

• Work hours may extend beyond the standard business day.

Physical Requirements:
• Typical office activities

• Walking, sitting, standing, bending.

• Using hands to operate tools, computers, and other electronic devices.

• Lifting and handling office equipment.

• Visual acuity for close vision and focus adjustment.

• Moderate noise levels.
