Assistant Manager - Operations Lead

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at GH Food Group. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our products are delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of staff: Supervise and train a team of employees to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service and maintain high standards of food quality.
  • Operational management: Oversee the preparation, sales, and service of food, ensuring that all procedures are followed and that the restaurant is run efficiently.
  • Inventory management: Delegate and be responsible for the ordering, receipt, storage, and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning, and paper supplies to minimize waste and theft.
  • Customer service: Ensure that every customer receives world-class customer service, responding to their needs and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Delivery management: Route deliveries and supervise drivers to maximize delivery business and speed.
  • Preparation and service: Complete daily food preparation, including opening procedures, meat and vegetable slicing, and bread production, as well as supervise food preparation and service operations.
  • Cash handling: Be responsible for 100% of the cash drawers at all times during the shift.
  • Administrative tasks: Complete daily and weekly paperwork, including audits of previous shifts' systems and procedures.
  • Maintenance and upkeep: Perform preventive maintenance and upkeep on store equipment and supplies.

Requirements:

  • Language skills: Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language fluently and clearly.
  • Math skills: Must have strong math abilities in addition, subtraction, fractions, and percentages.
  • Computer skills: Understand the use of personal computers and various software, including Excel and Word.
  • Physical demands: Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift up to 50 pounds.

Working conditions:

  • Work environment: Occasionally exposed to mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • Special requirements: Willing to work overtime, holidays, weekends as business dictates. Must be 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, current automobile insurance, a clean driving record, and physical stamina to work 50-60 hours per week.
