Position Overview
This role is posted on behalf of Harris Rebar Placing LLC, part of our Placing Division. The successful candidate will oversee operations for Harris Rebar Placing LLC.


Key Responsibilities
• Lead and promote a culture of safety within the branch and region, exemplifying a strong commitment to the safety of all personnel, including office staff, fabrication teams, and placement crews.

• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures as outlined by Nucor Rebar Fabrication's Safety Team.

• Communicate safety and production standards to contractors and customers effectively.

• Plan work in advance to ensure the availability of necessary labor, tools, and equipment.

• Collaborate with the Branch Manager and departmental leaders to identify growth opportunities within the market.

• Work closely with the Branch Manager and teams to implement the Rebar Contractor Strategy effectively.

• Develop strategies for detailing, fabrication, and installation to ensure each project is both safe and profitable.

• Foster and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers alongside the Branch Manager and team.

• Implement a sales and bidding strategy that aligns with the 'Rebar Contractor Model' for Supply and Install packages.

• Share best practices with colleagues and assist in their implementation as necessary.

• Analyze safety and production metrics across projects to identify areas for improvement.

• Regularly communicate with the Branch Manager regarding safety, bidding, project awards, productivity, and departmental profitability.

• Assist in developing a succession plan and training for team members with potential for growth.

• Mentor Supervisors and key team members, motivating them to achieve the vision and values of Nucor Rebar Fabrication.

• Collaborate with the billing department to ensure all billable items are tracked and invoiced appropriately.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures within your department.

• Assist the Branch Manager in formulating an annual budget that aligns with market share objectives.

• Cultivate relationships within the local construction and business community alongside the Branch Manager.

• Maintain a productive relationship with the local Ironworker's International Union Local.

• Perform additional duties as required.


Qualifications
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Rebar Installation, with at least 5 years in pricing installation services.

• At least 5 years of supervisory experience, including pricing and managing work.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Reinforcing Steel sector.

• At least 5 years of experience with Post Tensioning techniques.


Preferred Qualifications
• STSC Certification.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.


Additional Information
• This position requires travel and frequent visits to job sites.

• Personal protective equipment, including safety boots, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and armguards, must be worn on-site.

• Work hours may extend beyond the standard business day.


Physical Requirements
• Typical office tasks.

• Activities include walking, sitting, standing, and bending.

• Use of hands for operating tools, computers, and other electronic devices.

• Ability to lift and handle equipment.

• Vision capabilities including close vision and focus adjustment.

• Moderate noise levels are expected.
