Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $129,030 - $160,188. This range serves as a general guideline and is influenced by various factors including education, experience, and market conditions.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Graphic Designer to support the Z Program's Science & Technology Assessments and Counterproliferation Analysis & Planning System. In this role, you will oversee and contribute to design strategies, manage design projects, and implement cutting-edge design methodologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop intricate designs, multimedia, and digital communication initiatives. Collaborate with senior leadership to set standards for complex projects and work with various contributors.
  • Provide estimates for time and budget, coordinating team efforts to fulfill customer expectations and project deadlines.
  • Engage with clients to define and develop objectives that align with design specifications for various projects.
  • Supervise design concepts, graphics, and multimedia strategies to effectively represent scientific and technological advancements within the program.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality designs that meet audience needs while applying innovative approaches.
  • Utilize specialized knowledge in web interface design, HTML coding, and technical illustration to execute advanced designs and beta test web applications.
  • Offer in-depth consultation on the development of complex projects with visual components.
  • Establish quality standards and provide creative guidance on processes and cost-effective alternatives for producing diverse products.
  • Support specialized computer applications, including database management and web design.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or equivalent Top Secret clearance at the time of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in graphic design, technical illustration, or multimedia design.
  • Extensive knowledge of graphics and multimedia design principles, particularly in large-scale communications.
  • Deep understanding of graphic design methods and emerging technologies.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), content management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in leading multidisciplinary projects and managing teams, with a focus on quality and customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams of creative professionals.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize and execute high-quality design projects while maintaining design integrity across various media.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in photography and video editing.
  • Familiarity with pre-press and publication processes.
  • Knowledge of the Intelligence Community and analytic tradecraft processes.
  • Experience with tools such as Atlassian Suite, visualization software, and database management systems.
