Compensation Range

The annual salary for this position ranges from $129,030 to $160,188. This range serves as a general guideline, and various factors, including education and experience, will influence the final offer.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Graphic Designer to support the Z Program's Science & Technology Assessments and Counterproliferation Analysis & Planning System. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping internal and external design strategies, managing design projects, and implementing cutting-edge design methodologies and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of intricate designs, multimedia content, and digital communication initiatives. Collaborate with senior leaders to set standards for complex projects and engage with various stakeholders.
  • Provide accurate time and budget estimates while coordinating team efforts to fulfill customer expectations and adhere to deadlines.
  • Engage with clients to define project objectives and ensure design specifications are met.
  • Oversee design concepts and multimedia content, ensuring alignment with the program's scientific and technological goals.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to maintain high-quality design standards, employing innovative approaches that cater to audience needs.
  • Utilize specialized skills in web interface design, HTML coding, and technical illustration to execute advanced design tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Offer expert consultation on the development of complex projects that include visual elements.
  • Establish quality standards and provide creative guidance on design processes and cost-effective solutions.
  • Support various computer applications, including database management and web design.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or equivalent Top Secret clearance is required at the time of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in graphic design, technical illustration, or multimedia design.
  • Extensive knowledge of graphic and web production or multimedia design, particularly in large-scale communications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of graphic design principles and emerging design technologies.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), content management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in leading multidisciplinary projects and managing teams, with a focus on quality and customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse teams of creative professionals.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize and execute high-quality design projects, maintaining design integrity across various media.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in photography and video editing.
  • Familiarity with pre-press and publication processes.
  • Knowledge of the Intelligence Community and related analytic practices.
  • Experience with visualization tools and database management systems.
