Compensation

The annual salary for this position ranges from $129,030 to $160,188. This range serves as a general guideline, with actual pay determined by factors such as education, experience, and market conditions.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Graphic Designer to support the Z Program's Science & Technology Assessments and Counterproliferation Analysis & Planning System. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and managing design initiatives, collaborating with various stakeholders to produce high-quality visual materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute intricate design projects, including multimedia and digital communications, while establishing standards in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Provide accurate time and budget assessments, ensuring project goals align with customer expectations and financial constraints.
  • Engage with clients to define and refine project objectives, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
  • Oversee the creation of design concepts and visual content that effectively communicate scientific and technological information.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain high design standards, employing innovative approaches to meet audience needs.
  • Utilize advanced skills in web design, HTML coding, and technical illustration to deliver sophisticated design solutions.
  • Offer expert consultation on complex projects, ensuring quality and compliance with established standards.
  • Support various computer applications, including database management and web design, to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or equivalent Top Secret clearance at the time of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in graphic design, technical illustration, or multimedia design.
  • Extensive knowledge of graphic and web production processes, particularly in large-scale communications.
  • Strong understanding of graphic design principles and emerging technologies.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, content management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in leading multidisciplinary projects, managing scope, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse teams of creative professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven capability to conceptualize and manage high-quality design projects effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in photography and video editing.
  • Familiarity with pre-press and publication processes.
  • Knowledge of the Intelligence Community and analytic tradecraft.
  • Experience with visualization tools and database management systems.
