Position Overview:

The Human Resources Recruitment Specialist will manage the complete recruitment lifecycle and partner with the HR Manager to secure exceptional talent. This position entails addressing daily inquiries related to recruitment and general HR matters, conducting research, sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates, as well as facilitating their onboarding process in alignment with the organization’s objectives. The Specialist will collaborate closely with hiring managers to fulfill immediate and future staffing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition: Cultivate and sustain a diverse candidate pipeline for current and prospective needs through various sourcing techniques, including networking, social media recruiting, job postings, and employee referrals.
  • Recruitment Planning: Design and execute recruitment plans utilizing varied methods such as online sourcing, networking, and outreach to educational institutions to create a pool of qualified applicants.
  • Market Analysis: Regularly assess recruitment trends, competitive landscape, and best practices to improve hiring results.
  • Application Oversight: Source, evaluate, and manage applications for both internal candidates and external applicants, ensuring adherence to affirmative action policies.
  • HR Assistance: Support the HR department with changes in employment status, benefits administration, safety compliance, audits, and reporting requirements.
  • Candidate Engagement: Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely communication, feedback, and assistance throughout the recruitment and onboarding journey.
  • Manager Support: Provide guidance and support to hiring managers regarding the talent acquisition process.
  • Industry Awareness: Remain informed about developments in compensation, benefits, and personnel practices relevant to market trends and organizational standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that recruitment and hiring practices comply with applicable laws and organizational policies.
  • Networking Initiatives: Establish and maintain positive relationships with educational institutions, associations, and professional organizations through participation in networking events and industry conferences.
  • Interview Coordination: Organize and facilitate phone, virtual, and in-person interviews.
  • Reporting Duties: Provide weekly activity reports to the HR Manager and achieve set weekly objectives.
  • Recruitment Meetings: Actively engage in weekly recruitment discussions with assigned managers.
  • Data Management: Collect data, conduct analyses, and produce accurate and timely reports.
  • Policy Enhancements: Revise policies and procedures to improve departmental efficiency and service quality.
  • Training Development: Assist in creating educational materials for staff and management training sessions.
  • Orientation Programs: Ensure all new employees complete necessary documentation and receive comprehensive orientation regarding personnel policies and union agreements.
  • Volunteer Management: Oversee volunteer and internship initiatives.
  • Recruitment Activities: Conduct recruitment for non-exempt positions, students, and temporary roles, and manage new employee orientations and career development programs.
  • HRIS Management: Maintain HR information system records and generate reports from the database.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure accurate data entry into the applicant tracking system and HRIS.
  • Compliance Maintenance: Uphold compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Engage in ongoing HR education and training as necessary.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • PHR or other HR certifications are preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in recruitment and HR, ideally within a healthcare environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to think critically.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking and HR information systems; experience with ADP is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to multitask in a dynamic setting.
  • Ability to take initiative and solve problems with limited resources.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, recruitment practices, benefits, training, compliance, safety, and general HR operations.
  • Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations, including primary series and booster dose when eligible.
