The University Talent Acquisition Specialist is instrumental in cultivating a robust talent pipeline and enhancing the organization's visibility among college students and recent graduates.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Campus Recruitment Strategy:
    • Design and execute impactful campus recruitment strategies to draw a diverse array of qualified candidates for internships and entry-level roles.
    • Establish and nurture relationships with career services, faculty, and student organizations at selected colleges and universities.
    • Collaborate with business leaders and HR teams to comprehend staffing requirements and synchronize campus recruitment initiatives with organizational goals.
  2. Event Planning and Coordination:
    • Organize and participate in on-campus recruitment events such as career fairs, informational sessions, and networking opportunities.
    • Lead campus recruiting activities, including presentations, interviews, and site visits.
    • Oversee logistics for campus events, including event promotion, scheduling, and coordination with campus representatives.
  3. Candidate Sourcing and Evaluation:
    • Identify and engage with students and recent graduates through various channels, including career fairs, social media, and networking events.
    • Review resumes, conduct preliminary interviews, and evaluate candidates' qualifications, skills, and cultural alignment with the organization.
    • Maintain a pool of qualified candidates for current and future internships and entry-level roles.
  4. Candidate Experience Management:
    • Ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by maintaining clear and timely communication.
    • Provide candidates with comprehensive information about the organization, its culture, and available career opportunities.
    • Guide candidates through the interview and selection process, including coordinating interviews, delivering feedback, and managing the offer process.
  5. Employer Branding Initiatives:
    • Partner with HR and marketing teams to promote the organization's brand on campuses and enhance its reputation as an employer of choice for students and recent graduates.
    • Create and distribute marketing materials, such as brochures, presentations, and social media content, that showcase the organization's culture and career opportunities.
    • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to increase brand awareness and attract top talent.
  6. Internship Program Oversight:
    • Assist in the design, implementation, and management of the internship program, ensuring a valuable experience for both interns and the organization.
    • Coordinate intern onboarding, training, and mentorship programs to facilitate a smooth transition into the organization.
    • Monitor intern performance, provide feedback, and support the conversion of interns to full-time employees.
  7. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Track and analyze key campus recruitment metrics, such as conversion rates, time-to-hire, and diversity outcomes, to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
    • Prepare reports and presentations on campus recruitment activities and outcomes for HR leadership and business stakeholders.
    • Utilize data-driven insights to continuously enhance campus recruitment practices and make informed decisions.
  8. Compliance and Record Keeping:
    • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations throughout the campus recruitment process.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
    • Assist in preparing compliance reports, such as EEO-1 and other regulatory filings, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or a related field, with a focus on campus recruiting.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships with academic institutions and engage with students and recent graduates.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR technology platforms.
  • Willingness to travel to various campuses and recruitment events as needed.
