Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant II plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive administrative support to the Dean of Students. This position is responsible for managing the office's daily operations, ensuring seamless coordination and referrals, and fostering a dynamic and effective team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Office Management
    • Maintains a welcoming and confidential office environment, receiving and prioritizing communications to the Dean of Students.
    • Assists with maintaining the Dean's calendar, scheduling appointments, and coordinating room reservations.
    • Hires, trains, and supervises student employees.
  • Administrative Support
    • Assists the Dean with preparation of correspondence, communications, and documents, such as departmental reports and emails.
    • Coordinates training workshops and events hosted by the Dean's office.
    • Maintains the Dean's web presence, including the student handbook and web page.
  • Qualifications
    • An Associate's degree or vocational/technical degree is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
    • 1-3 years of administrative experience is required.
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and university systems.
    • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects.
