Within the Corporate Strategy division at Micron, we are actively seeking a Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives.

In this pivotal role, you will be a key member of the Executive team, reporting directly to the Chief Vice President of Strategy and Business Operations, tasked with steering the strategic analysis that informs our investments and partnerships.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead and manage the Corporate Strategy team while embodying Micron's core values.
  • Strategic Development - Collaborate with a diverse team across business units, engineering, technology development, operations, and manufacturing to craft a comprehensive company strategy. Synthesize strategic objectives and industry insights to identify, propose, and implement initiatives that align with the company's growth targets. Address strategic inquiries facing the organization.
  • Portfolio Oversight - Evaluate the profitability of various business segments and recommend adjustments to our investment strategy to optimize business objectives. Analyze capital and operational expenditures to enhance resource allocation and portfolio management. Assess market opportunities and competitor challenges to suggest portfolio modifications.
  • Market Insights - Drive thorough market evaluations by leveraging your market intelligence team and a network of marketing professionals within the organization. Analyze supply and demand trends across the industry to inform investment strategies.
  • Business Planning and Execution - Oversee the consolidation of quarterly and annual business plan reviews, both internally and for the board of directors.
  • Engage effectively with executives and cross-functional teams, including engineering, product design, IT infrastructure, security, and finance.
  • Identify new market opportunities to prioritize corporate initiatives and provide insights into our business through data and research (market, customer, competition).
  • Utilize your deep industry knowledge and competitor understanding to drive initiatives that enhance our competitive stance and increase market share.
  • Develop and communicate key performance metrics to monitor investment outcomes.
  • Provide comprehensive analysis of Micron's products, markets, and competitive landscape to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Analyze data to clarify historical or projected trends and recommend actionable strategies.
  • Create proactive action plans to navigate the competitive landscape.
  • Facilitate the implementation of these strategies throughout the organization at all levels.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Engineering; an MBA is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior strategy leadership role within a global organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of the semiconductor sector, with experience in key markets served by Micron being a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and strategic analysis.
  • Experience in executive-level presentations and communications; strong executive presence.
  • Inspirational leadership with proven collaboration skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with diverse business leaders.
  • A successful track record of timely execution, exceptional organizational skills, validated business acumen, and commercial experience.
  • Effective communicator, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing; comfortable in both business and technical discussions with senior executives.
