Job Title: Risk Management Director

Join our team as a Risk Management Director at Center for Christian Growth, Inc. (CCG), a 501(c)3 public charity headquartered in New Braunfels, Texas. As a Risk Management Director, you will oversee the culture and operations of our major risk and safety initiatives, ensuring a healthy balance between safety, customer experience, and budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, Analyze, and Plan Controls for Major Risks: Develop and maintain a major risk register to evaluate risks and recommend controls, oversee and actively manage identified risks/exposures in line with operational priorities, drive the continued refinement and/or development of appropriate controls, and ensure thorough and timely resolution of issues.
  • Managing High-Risk Activities: Become a subject matter expert on key risks and/or ensure someone on staff is, ensure planned protections/controls are documented in staff policies and summer staff playbook, coordinate and lead training of full-time and summer staff, ensure training and sign-offs are documented, oversee (and do) periodic inspections, root cause and corrective action investigations, and incident reporting.
  • Evaluate Risk Program Effectiveness: Set and communicate the strategic risk management vision considering T Bar M's programs and industry standards, as well as what is unique to our operations, objectives, initiatives, and strategy, set strategic priorities annually based on budget, customer experience, industry learnings, and recorded incidents, manage budget in accordance with annual strategic RISS plan, review of new capital projects and activities evaluating new risks and updating documentation, and perform annual incident analysis and provide suggestions for improvement.
  • Manage Security and Emergency Response: Oversee relationship and coordinating of security (primarily summers), organization-wide crisis management, such as fire, storm, intruder, missing camper, active shooter, establishing a framework and methodology for each, as well as coordinating the training, communication, and testing, and collaboration with local first responders.
  • Support Insurance Claims Management and Insurance Renewal: Work alongside Human Resources to manage insurance claims and renewals, ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws and maintaining the organization's risk management policies and strategies in compliance with applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Spiritual Growth and Alignment: Consistent evidence of a growing relationship with Christ, awareness and desire to deploy his/her spiritual gift(s) in this ministry, agreement with T Bar M's Doctrinal Statement, sense of calling to T Bar M, and whole-hearted support of T Bar M's Vision, Core Values, and Mission.
  • Education/Proven Experience: Bachelor's degree required, 5 years of experience or comparable work history with proven effectiveness, effectively builds and leads teams with a healthy ministry culture, high output and productivity while building relationships and enjoying the work and relationships, and understands that all work is ministry and communicates and models this to staff.
