Position Overview

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a pivotal role in delivering HR leadership and strategic consultation to both senior and line management regarding personnel-related issues that influence their operations. The HRBP enhances organizational effectiveness by collaborating with business stakeholders to devise innovative HR strategies and solutions that yield results, foster customer-centricity, and build trust. This role is integral to the Regional Leadership Team and reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources.

Core Responsibilities

  • Utilizes extensive HR expertise and may mentor newer or less experienced HR team members on policies and practices.
  • Operates autonomously to identify and implement solutions for complex organizational challenges.
  • Collaborates effectively to roll out HR initiatives, occasionally crafting internal procedures tailored to the specific environment and available resources.
  • Establishes and nurtures ongoing relationships with management and senior leadership.
  • Oversees the execution of established HR programs and projects, such as Performance Management and Merit processes.
  • Provides direct support to employees and managers in navigating HR tools, processes, and policies.
  • Advises and counsels management and staff on employee relations issues.
  • Implements and oversees HR solutions, programs, and services including diversity and inclusion, employee retention and engagement, learning and development, compensation optimization, talent acquisition, workforce planning, HR analytics, and employee communication.
  • Ensures that the human perspective is considered in business decisions, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of implications and proactive workforce management.
  • Engages with employees to investigate and resolve individual or job-related concerns.
  • Utilizes HRIS to identify issues or gaps related to organizational initiatives, analyze trends related to attrition, and track diversity metrics.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required; advanced education is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 8 years of HR-related experience is necessary.
  • SPHR/PHR or similar certification is preferred.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is beneficial.
  • Experience in urgent care settings is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Expertise in HR management within a multi-unit environment.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and resolve employee issues that impact business performance.
  • Capacity for self-directed learning and rapid adaptation to current company performance, industry trends, and competitive advantages.
  • Experience in responding to formal EEO, DOL, EEOC, and other regulatory claims.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EO, HIPAA, OSHA).
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of employer-sponsored benefits (health, 401k, STD, LTD) and statutory programs (unemployment, workers' compensation).
  • Competence in performance management, compensation strategies, training principles, and employee relations.
  • Capable of a hands-on approach at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills, including listening, speaking, and critical writing and thinking abilities.
