Position Summary:
The Senior HR Consultant role acts as a strategic partner and advisor in the implementation of human resources policies and practices for designated units. Key responsibilities encompass interpreting HR guidelines, providing counsel on HR-related matters, analyzing HR initiatives, and facilitating communication between various departments on HR topics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and apply human resources policies while advising management on their implementation
  • Consult with departmental leaders on various HR issues
  • Analyze and provide insights on HR actions and challenges
  • Work collaboratively with Employee Relations on formal employee matters
  • Serve as a primary contact between departments regarding HR concerns
  • Assist in recruitment efforts to enhance onboarding processes
  • Perform additional related duties as necessary
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of five to seven years of experience in human resources
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, or Organizational Psychology
  • 3 to 5 years of HR consulting experience within the higher education sector
  • Experience in a dynamic business environment
  • Prior experience as a Senior HR Consultant
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
