Position Summary: We are seeking a Vice President of Transportation Solutions to collaborate with a skilled team focused on developing sustainable and efficient transportation systems. This role involves engaging with public agency clients to address complex transportation challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of regional business strategies to achieve targeted objectives.
  • Establish and nurture a client portfolio, delivering exceptional traffic and transportation engineering services. Engage in business development activities, including proposal preparation and contract negotiations.
  • Oversee technical project execution, providing expert guidance and making informed recommendations on innovative transportation initiatives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in areas such as traffic engineering, transportation planning, signal operations, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
  • Serve as Project Manager or Principal-in-Charge for significant multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring successful delivery and integration of transportation solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers and planners, fostering their professional growth.
  • Stay actively involved in professional organizations and remain informed about the latest developments in transportation technology and regulations.
  • Travel locally and statewide as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Traffic Engineer (TE) licensure is preferred, along with relevant certifications.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in transportation planning, engineering, or ITS, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience in business development within the transportation sector.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively engage with clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the transportation landscape in California is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Synchro, SimTraffic, VISSIM, GIS, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
