POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Vice President of Project Financing, you will be responsible for the management and execution of over $3 billion in new loans aimed at supporting CIM's diverse infrastructure initiatives and associated portfolio entities. This role necessitates ongoing communication and collaboration with lenders, external consultants, CIM's internal investment teams, capital markets, and executive leadership within our portfolio companies. The Vice President's duties encompass market assessments, thorough project or company evaluations, and continuous oversight throughout the duration of each financing arrangement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Assist in developing financial models in collaboration with CIM Investments, Portfolio Management, and portfolio entities.
- Prepare comprehensive information memorandums outlining potential investments in projects or portfolio companies for prospective lenders. Analyze proposals and present findings to the executive team.
- Conduct research on capital markets relevant to infrastructure asset acquisitions, company buyouts, and project financing deals.
- Ensure adherence to CIM Capital Markets policies and procedures, including lender outreach, proposal requests, term sheet negotiations, and subsequent due diligence activities.
- Engage in strategic discussions regarding capital market requirements and provide regular updates to management teams on capital market operations.
- Review budgets and forecasts at the asset level, gaining insights into business plans within the context of overall fund strategy. Perform financial analyses at the asset level to support fund-level business initiatives as necessary for executing the capital markets strategy.
- A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in investment banking or finance with a focus on M&A, project financing, or transaction-based consulting.
- Experience across various infrastructure sectors, including digital, renewable energy, waste and water management, transportation, and digital infrastructure is preferred.
- Extensive experience in financial modeling is essential.
- In-depth understanding of infrastructure capital markets.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to establish and meet realistic deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, highly driven and results-oriented, with a strong process orientation and excellent organizational and communication abilities.
