Your contributions are vital. Every position impacts our patients' experiences, and you have the chance to make a meaningful difference. We are seeking a committed Certified Surgical Technologist to enhance our healthcare team.

Role Summary and Qualifications

As a Surgical Technologist, your responsibilities will include preparing and maintaining the operating room environment, ensuring the availability of necessary instruments, and assisting in patient care throughout the surgical process.

  • Provide patient care in accordance with the operating room technician's training and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Prepare patients, equipment, and surgical spaces for procedures.
  • Maintain a sterile and safe operating room environment.
  • Manage intra-operative tasks and anticipate the surgeon's needs.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate instrument counts with the circulating nurse.
  • Oversee supply and equipment management, ensuring proper sterilization and availability.

Qualifications Required:

Experience

  • Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program or appropriate training in the U.S. Armed Forces or U.S. Public Health Service.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification in accordance with St. David's Healthcare policy.
  • Surgical Technologists graduating after September 1, 2009, must secure and maintain current certification within 180 days of graduation from an approved program.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
