Program Overview

The role involves providing leadership in acquisition and program management for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC)/XP-OZ/OZJ Maintenance Systems Program Management Office.

Role Summary

The selected candidate will spearhead acquisition initiatives for weapon systems. This position requires delivering expert advice and strategic recommendations that influence acquisition approaches for the Systems Program Office, which includes the creation of essential documentation and preparation of presentations for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft program documentation to facilitate Requests for Proposal, Milestone Decisions, and Acquisition Strategies.
  • Manage USAF weapon system oversight processes, policies, and protocols.
  • Oversee cost, schedule, and technical execution of programs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in Department of Defense weapon system management.
  • Experience with ACAT I/II/III Program Manager responsibilities.
  • Proficient in composing and responding to Federal and DoD Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

  • DAWIA certification.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities.
  • Clear and organized verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
