F-16 Cybersecurity Program Lead

The selected candidate will act as the principal technical consultant to the material leader for the F-16 Information Assurance (IA) initiative, providing comprehensive expertise across various domains including program oversight, IA management, systems engineering, and project coordination, all while leveraging extensive experience with F-16 systems and configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will:

  • Assist in the intricate integration and configuration processes for F-16 USAF, EPAF, and FMS systems, identifying methods and risks associated with performance and integration.
  • Support the translation of client specifications into acquisition program needs and requirements for both hardware and software.
  • Deliver technical assistance for the F-16 IA program, ensuring the confidentiality, availability, integrity, authenticity, and non-repudiation of user data.
  • Contribute to the development of integrated schedules, including conceptual timelines for programs.
  • Provide advisory services in system/subsystem engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and other technical integration functions relevant to the development and sustainability of F-16 systems.
  • Engage with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and working groups from various disciplines to propose and implement acquisition streamlining strategies.
  • Support the F-16 Anti-Tamper (AT) program requirements.
  • Offer technical assistance for F-16 Security Working Group (SSWG) and program protection activities, including the evaluation of program Critical Program Information (CPI) and security classification guidance.
  • Facilitate ongoing assessment and evaluation of the F-16 IA program and its individual project objectives and performance metrics.
  • Prepare and present studies and briefings to both end users and senior leadership as necessary.
  • Support the F-16 IA organization at senior levels within the government and industry representatives.
  • Review and interpret cyber threat intelligence reports at the TS-SCI level, providing appropriate guidance to F-16 Program Office activities.
  • Assist in the Platform Information Technology (PIT) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) for the F-16 program throughout its acquisition lifecycle, including the development and review of necessary documentation.
  • Execute the IA Risk Management Framework (RMF) to support A&A for the F-16 aircraft platform and modifications, ensuring compliance with security design documentation.
  • Conduct IA site audits to verify architecture analysis, IA requirements, and controls, supporting final approvals for testing and operational authority.
  • Identify Software Assurance (SWA) pedigree and quality assurance issues, performing software security analysis to assess vulnerabilities and risks.

Qualifications:

Due to the sensitive nature of the requirements, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

A Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline, coupled with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, is required.

Possession of an active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance is essential.

Certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is required.

At least 10 years of experience in IA Management and security engineering, along with comprehensive knowledge of all USAF, EPAF, and FMS F-16 configurations, is necessary.

Familiarity with F-16 development and fielded systems, including an understanding of system requirements, is crucial.
