The role involves supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC)/XP-OZ/OZJ Maintenance Systems Program Management Office.
Role Summary
The selected candidate will oversee acquisition initiatives for weapon systems. This individual will provide expert insights and recommendations that influence acquisition strategies for the Systems Program Office, including the creation of essential documents and preparation of briefings for senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare program documentation to facilitate Requests for Proposal, Milestone Decisions, and Acquisition Strategies.
- Understand USAF weapon system management processes, policies, and procedures.
- Manage cost, schedule, and technical execution effectively.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- 15 years of experience in Department of Defense weapon system management.
- Experience with ACAT I/II/III Program Manager functions.
- Proficient in drafting and responding to Federal and DoD Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- DAWIA certification.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Critical and creative thinking abilities.
- Conflict resolution expertise.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
