Job Overview

The selected candidate will act as the principal technical consultant to the program manager for the F-16 Information Assurance (IA) initiative, providing comprehensive expertise across various domains including program oversight, IA governance, systems engineering, and project management, complemented by extensive knowledge of F-16 systems and configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will:

  • Assist in the intricate integration and configuration processes of F-16 systems for the USAF, EPAF, and FMS, identifying methods and risks associated with performance.
  • Support the translation of client needs into acquisition program specifications and requirements for both hardware and software.
  • Deliver technical assistance for the F-16 IA initiative, ensuring the protection of user data's confidentiality, availability, integrity, authenticity, and non-repudiation.
  • Contribute to the development of integrated schedules, including conceptual timelines for programs.
  • Provide advisory support in engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, configuration management, testing, logistics, and other technical integration functions related to F-16 systems.
  • Engage with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and working groups to propose and implement acquisition streamlining strategies.
  • Support the F-16 Advanced Technology (AT) program requirements.
  • Assist in program protection activities, including the evaluation of critical program information and the development of security classification guidance.
  • Continuously assess and evaluate the F-16 IA program's overall effectiveness and individual project objectives.
  • Prepare and present studies and briefings to stakeholders and senior management as required.
  • Support the F-16 IA organization at high levels within the government and industry representatives.
  • Review and interpret cyber threat intelligence reports at the TS-SCI level, providing guidance to program office activities.
  • Assist in the Platform Information Technology (PIT) Assessment and Authorization process throughout the acquisition lifecycle, including the development of necessary documentation.
  • Facilitate the execution of the IA Risk Management Framework (RMF) to support the F-16 platform's authorization processes.
  • Conduct IA site audits to verify compliance with architecture analysis and IA controls, supporting the approval process for testing and operational authority.
  • Identify software assurance issues and conduct security analysis to assess vulnerabilities, documenting findings for program management.

Qualifications:

Due to the sensitive nature of the role, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, is required.

Possession of an active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance is essential.

Certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is required.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in IA management and security engineering, with in-depth knowledge of F-16 configurations to meet USAF, EPAF, and FMS requirements, is necessary.

Familiarity with F-16 development and operational systems, including an understanding of system requirements, is expected.
