The selected candidate will act as the primary technical consultant to the program manager for the F-16 Information Assurance (IA) initiative, offering comprehensive expertise across various domains including program oversight, IA governance, systems engineering, and project management, all while leveraging extensive experience with F-16 systems and configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will:

  • Assist in the intricate integration and configuration processes for F-16 systems, ensuring the identification of integration methodologies and performance risks. The candidate will support the development and execution of acquisition strategies for multiple F-16 programs.
  • Translate customer specifications into actionable acquisition program requirements for both hardware and software.
  • Deliver technical assistance for the F-16 IA program, safeguarding the confidentiality, availability, integrity, authenticity, and non-repudiation of user data.
  • Contribute to the creation of integrated schedules, including conceptual timelines for programs.
  • Provide advisory services in system engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and logistics, as they pertain to the development and maintenance of F-16 systems.
  • Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and working groups focused on developing and recommending acquisition efficiency proposals and implementation strategies.
  • Offer support for the F-16 Advanced Training (AT) program, including defining program requirements.
  • Assist in technical support for F-16 Security Working Group (SSWG) and program protection activities, including the development and assessment of program Critical Program Information (CPI) and security classification guidance.
  • Engage in ongoing evaluation of the F-16 IA program and its individual project objectives, strategies, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare and present studies and briefings to stakeholders and senior leadership as necessary.
  • Support the F-16 IA organization at high levels within the government and industry representatives.
  • Review and interpret cyber threat intelligence reports at the TS-SCI level, providing guidance to F-16 program activities.
  • Assist in the Platform Information Technology (PIT) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) for the F-16 program throughout its acquisition lifecycle, including the development and review of relevant documentation.
  • Facilitate the execution of the IA Risk Management Framework (RMF) to support A&A for the F-16 aircraft and modifications, ensuring compliance with security design specifications.
  • Conduct IA site audits to verify architecture analysis and compliance with IA requirements, supporting the final approval processes for various authorities.
  • Identify Software Assurance (SWA) quality issues and perform security analyses to assess vulnerabilities, documenting findings for government program management.

Qualifications:

Due to the sensitive nature of the role, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, is required.

An active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance is essential.

Certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is required.

Extensive experience in IA management and security engineering, with in-depth knowledge of all F-16 configurations, is necessary.

Familiarity with F-16 development and operational systems, including a comprehensive understanding of system requirements, is expected.
