Position Overview:

We are seeking accomplished Chief Financial Officers to provide consultancy services to our elite clientele. In this role, you will leverage your extensive background to offer strategic insights and guidance to Hedge Fund and Family Office clients. Your hands-on experience in managing financial operations will be invaluable in this consultancy capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting best practice evaluations.
  • Formulating actionable and effective strategic plans.
  • Breaking down objectives into manageable tasks.
  • Providing expert advice on vendor selection and management.
  • Designing and enforcing policies, procedures, and control measures.
  • Assessing client progress towards goals using key performance indicators (KPIs) and scoring systems.
  • Engaging in special projects or addressing specific client needs.

Candidate Profile:

  • Overseeing all facets of Finance, Accounting, and Billing functions across the organization, including the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory reports.
  • Managing financial reporting, planning, analysis, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Aligning revenue and profit forecasts with actual figures and adjusting future projections as necessary.
  • Maintaining relationships and financial agreements with banks and investors.
  • Supervising and approving all expenditures for the management company, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Leading the company's capital strategy, including financing arrangements and partnership activities.
  • Collaborating with the Founder/Principal to shape future financial strategies and establish performance objectives.
  • Ensuring the financial integrity of the organization through robust accounting systems and controls.
  • Assisting with audits, tax preparations, and regulatory filings related to financial data.
  • Evaluating resource needs and financial implications of new business initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPA designation is required; an advanced degree (MBA, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer in a Hedge Fund or Family Office setting.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a financial or accounting role within a Hedge Fund, Family Office, or a reputable accounting firm.
  • Proficient in cash management, forecasting, and technical accounting principles.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft applications and accounting software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial instruments, investment types, and tax regulations.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and management capabilities.

Compensation:

The consulting rate ranges from $275 to $400 per hour, based on various factors including engagement length, complexity, required specialization, and candidate experience.

Work Environment:

This position offers the flexibility to work remotely with adaptable hours and the ability to select assignments.
