Your Impactful Contributions

  • This position offers the chance to drive profitable growth in Financial Lines by devising creative solutions for intricate risks. You will be tasked with underwriting a diverse portfolio of new and renewal business, leveraging your strong relationship-building capabilities.
  • Collaboration with brokers will be essential to communicate our risk appetite and value proposition, as well as to comprehend the deal structures, terms, and products that best align with client needs. You will negotiate pricing, terms & conditions, and deal structures with brokers and clients.
  • Generating new business will be crucial, achieved by expanding your broker network, participating in broker events, and establishing new market relationships. You will work alongside AIG Distribution, territory managers, and underwriters from other lines of business to target desirable accounts and cross-selling opportunities.
  • As a senior team member, you will set exemplary standards of customer service for brokers and clients, serving as a role model for junior colleagues. You will also provide mentorship, guidance, and training to less-experienced underwriters, aiding them in developing their broker networks.
  • Additionally, you may be called upon to offer training and support to junior underwriters to better equip them in executing strategic initiatives.

Qualifications for Success

  • In-depth knowledge of the US Financial Lines sector (D&O, EPL, PTL, Cyber, Fidelity), including product features, forms, regulatory considerations, and associated risks.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements effectively.
  • Proven aptitude for identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues, along with a capacity for rapid learning, adaptability to change, influence, and management of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Exceptional communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Customer and sales-oriented mindset: motivated, persistent, focused, technically proficient, proactive, and accountable.
  • A willingness to engage in mentoring and training, even if you have not previously held these responsibilities.
