Position Overview:

We are seeking seasoned Chief Financial Officers to provide consultancy services to our esteemed clientele. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience to deliver strategic financial insights and support to Hedge Funds and Family Offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct best practice evaluations.
  • Formulate actionable and realistic strategic plans.
  • Decompose objectives into manageable tasks.
  • Advise on vendor selection and management.
  • Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and control mechanisms.
  • Assess client progress towards goals using key performance indicators (KPIs) and scoring systems.
  • Engage in special projects or address specific client needs.

Candidate Profile:

  • Oversee all facets of Finance, Accounting, and Billing functions across various entities, ensuring accurate financial statement preparation.
  • Manage financial reporting, planning, analysis, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Ensure alignment of revenue and profit forecasts with actual figures, adjusting projections as necessary.
  • Maintain relationships and financial agreements with banks and investors.
  • Supervise and authorize all management company expenditures, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Lead the company's capital strategy, including financing arrangements and partnership activities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define and monitor financial objectives.
  • Safeguard the company's fiscal integrity through robust accounting systems and risk management practices.
  • Assist with audits, tax preparations, and regulatory filings related to financial data.
  • Evaluate resource needs and financial implications of new initiatives, prioritizing projects in collaboration with the executive team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • CPA certification is mandatory; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer in Hedge Funds or Family Offices.
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial roles within Hedge Funds, Family Offices, or major accounting firms.
  • Strong background in cash management, forecasting, and technical accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial instruments, investment structures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and management skills.

Compensation:

The consulting rate ranges from $275 to $400 per hour, determined by various factors including engagement length, complexity, specialization, and experience.
