The Senior Loan Consultant within the Real Estate Group plays a crucial role in ensuring that loan requests are processed accurately and efficiently. As subject matter experts, the Loan Operations team ensures that all information complies with UMB's lending guidelines.
The Senior Loan Consultant is tasked with providing expert guidance and sound judgment to address complex inquiries and challenges related to real estate loans. Collaborating closely with Loan Coordinators, the Senior Loan Consultant gains insights into loan structures to facilitate servicing and resolve issues. This position involves the booking of real estate loans in our systems and serves as the secondary reviewer for booked loans. Candidates can expect a dynamic work environment with varying scenarios, requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet client needs. Our Senior Loan Consultants are self-motivated individuals who thrive on the challenge of acquiring new skills while managing their career progression. This role emphasizes the safeguarding of UMB and our lending practices by ensuring that all loans are accurately documented and comply with our policies.
The Loan Operations team fosters strong connections among its members to cultivate a positive work atmosphere. Each associate is valued for their individuality in a professional yet enjoyable setting. The team is relatively small, promoting close collaboration to ensure collective success. Associates are encouraged to work with their managers to create development plans for growth within Loan Operations and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize problem-solving abilities to determine necessary actions for ensuring that real estate loans are complete and ready for booking.
- Exhibit effective communication skills to relay information to Loan Coordinators, facilitating resolutions for intricate issues.
- Demonstrate strong time management capabilities to operate efficiently within loan processing timelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial lending.
- Prior experience with loan accounting software systems.
Minimum: $44, Maximum: $103,820.00
The compensation range provided reflects UMB's standard for this position; however, actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors. This range does not encompass the full earning potential for this role. Please refer to the benefits description included with this job posting for further details.
