Position Overview

As a key member of the Human Resources department, the Human Resources Clerk will play a vital role in supporting the maintenance and operational functions of the HRIS and BDMS systems. This position encompasses various clerical tasks within the Human Resources framework.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Conduct data entry into the HRIS system for employment-related documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness of new hire paperwork, compensation letters, personnel action forms, and background checks. Collaborate with data source providers to gather necessary information for data entry tasks and assist in data audits related to HR records.
  • Manage the scanning and indexing of all employment-related documents into the electronic filing system, ensuring proper classification and organization of documents.
  • Examine new hire and change data paperwork to verify the completeness and accuracy of information, including employee demographics, organizational details, compensation, benefits, and employment status.
  • Provide front desk support as required, which includes answering phone calls, welcoming visitors, and assisting employees and visitors with their inquiries.
  • Assist in testing system upgrades and contribute to process improvement analysis and documentation. Perform additional administrative tasks such as mailing, faxing, copying, and filing as assigned.

Additional Duties:
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • One to three years of experience in an office environment or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in an HRIS system, preferably Banner.
  • Experience in scanning and indexing documents into electronic files.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Employment Status: Full Time
Salary Grade: 16 (Min. $18.90/Mid. $24.56/Max. $30.27)
