Job OverviewPosition Summary

Support the Engineering Manager in delivering effective leadership for the Engineering division while facilitating ongoing and future projects at Greenpoint Technologies. This role involves planning, organizing, coaching, mentoring, and training engineers assigned to various tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to steer the Design Engineering team towards the successful completion of engineering projects that meet both internal and external client specifications.
  • Contribute to performance evaluations, employee relations, and assist the department head in providing constructive feedback.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with assigned engineers to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Assist in resource planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, and assessment of engineering staff.
  • Delegate daily tasks while ensuring compliance with budgetary and scheduling constraints.
  • Mentor and guide engineers to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure that all design data release schedules align with the timeline for successful project delivery.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to engineers, ensuring focus on technical objectives.
  • Develop tools, databases, and workflow procedures to streamline project support and enhance the quality and timeliness of design packages.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to Project Engineers and the Engineering Manager.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to achieve consensus on problem-solving approaches and mitigate constraints.
  • Prepare and present meeting materials regarding program design issues to maintain project timelines and foster team consensus.
  • Identify, document, and communicate risks, challenges, and lessons learned to the Project Engineer and Engineering Manager.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality, fulfilling work shift requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Excellent communication, time management, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with project management and budgeting principles.
  • Understanding of Aerospace Standards and Specifications related to Aircraft Structures, Interiors, and Systems.
  • Knowledge of industry design and documentation standards.
  • Experience with mechanical assemblies and manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard CAD systems.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Physical ability to sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
  • Expertise in providing high-level guidance for customized solutions under tight deadlines.
  • In-depth knowledge of analysis for multiple disciplines, including electrical equipment provisioning and installations.
  • Strong familiarity with regulatory requirements and experience working with regulatory bodies.
Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in aerospace, or equivalent experience in the aerospace industry, ideally in a Lead Engineer capacity.

Employees involved in programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person as defined by legal compliance standards.

The expected salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $165,528. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.
