Lead Compliance Operations Specialist

Title: Lead Compliance Operations Specialist
Location: Remote

Duration: 12 Months
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the systematic evaluation of compliance measures by performing thorough assessments of documentation and supporting evidence.
Address and resolve escalations utilizing in-depth policy knowledge, strong communication abilities, and effective problem-solving techniques.
Collaborate closely with teams across Policy, Privacy, Legal, Developer Relations Engineering, TPMs, and Communications to pinpoint process and tooling deficiencies, leading initiatives to develop and implement effective solutions.
Identify and advocate for long-term solutions to operational gaps by engaging with relevant stakeholders.
Conduct regular audits and data quality assessments, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist employees and internal stakeholders with inquiries related to processes, policies, and compliance issues.
Formulate strategic and operational plans aimed at enhancing compliance operations.
Typical Daily Activities:
Monitor the status of ongoing cases and follow up on outstanding evidence collection.
Coordinate with the Compliance Team regarding new case developments.
Assess the operational health of compliance safeguards.
Document areas for improvement, review with stakeholders, and implement enhancements.
Engage in team activities, such as regular meetings or collaborative sessions.
Essential Qualifications
Proven experience in supporting compliance initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to manage escalations effectively.
Experience handling confidential information with discretion.
Ability to identify risks and escalate appropriately.
Experience in creating both strategic and operational plans.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Proficient in managing and organizing extensive document files with varying deadlines.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with computer applications including Google Suite, Excel, and project management tools.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as technical, liberal arts, legal, or business.
Experience in compliance or regulatory environments.
Background in technology is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in shared services or as a paralegal.
Knowledge of policy development processes.
Experience in researching policies and historical documents.
Customer service experience is a plus.
Familiarity with data privacy regulations, including GDPR and FTC, and risk/compliance management in a global context.
Experience in a fast-paced, large-scale, complex global environment, adept at navigating ambiguity.
Experience collaborating with third-party developers.
Understanding of the VR or gaming industry is advantageous.
