Position Summary:

Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and oversee personnel records for healthcare professionals. Dispatch reminder communications to nurses regarding expiring credentials.
  • Ensure personnel records align with Company and Client regulations and standards.
  • Evaluate healthcare professional credentials for compliance and communicate any discrepancies to Management.
  • Reach out to healthcare professionals to update any missing or expiring credentials in accordance with established timelines.
  • Utilize internal systems for precise and up-to-date documentation of all personnel records.
  • Facilitate background checks, drug screenings, and verification of professional licenses, credentials, and educational qualifications.
  • Collaborate with Clients to fulfill requests for personnel information.
  • Engage directly with internal and external staff to guarantee all requirements are met accurately and promptly, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Manage reactivations and rehires, ensuring completion of all necessary items and encouraging nurses to commence work.
  • Perform front desk duties, including scheduling with nurses visiting the office, soliciting referrals, addressing nurse inquiries, and providing customer service.
  • Maintain a professional yet friendly demeanor.
  • Assist the Travel Department in gathering travel hours and sign-in documentation.
  • Conduct field visits at least twice monthly to foster relationships with nurses, ensuring visits are conducted individually.
  • The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will report directly to the HRC Resource Manager and must promote a strong team environment.
  • Handle daily staffing needs.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required to meet business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a healthcare or hospital environment, and/or familiarity with The Joint Commission is advantageous.

  • Professional demeanor with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Capable of organizing and prioritizing tasks while effectively managing time.
  • Strong advocate for thorough documentation and attention to detail.
  • High level of discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Availability to work as scheduled, including potential overtime and weekend hours as needed to meet business demands.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary and an annual bonus program based on both Company and individual performance. Medical and voluntary dental plans are also available.
