Summary:


As a vital member of the Executive Leadership team, the Senior Vice President of Ethics and Risk Management reports directly to the CEO and plays a strategic role in overseeing the organization's Compliance, Ethics, and Enterprise Risk Management functions, including Internal Audit operations.


This position is responsible for strategic planning and operational leadership regarding compliance and regulatory matters, along with the management of a comprehensive compliance, risk, and internal audit program across the organization.

Consequently, this role has direct access to the Board of Directors, providing advice and recommendations on compliance, enterprise risk, and internal audit matters.


The Senior Vice President is tasked with fostering a culture of ethics and compliance that aligns with the Metro Health Foundation's mission and vision through effective planning, design, implementation, and maintenance.


As a leader in compliance, this individual will establish standards and procedures to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization's compliance programs in identifying, preventing, detecting, and rectifying noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations.


As part of the senior leadership team, this role collaborates with the President and other senior leaders in institutional planning, policy formulation, and problem-solving initiatives. The Senior Vice President also acts as an ambassador for the Metro Health Foundation, cultivating positive relationships within the community.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in health administration, business administration, or a related field; Juris Doctor or advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in healthcare management.
  • At least six (6) to eight (8) years of compliance experience within the healthcare sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and standards, particularly in relation to physician practices and integrated healthcare systems.
  • Proven ability to design and implement effective healthcare compliance programs.
  • A visible and approachable leader with strong communication, educational, and motivational skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and work effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and externally.
  • High motivation, team orientation, professionalism, and trustworthiness, with a strong emphasis on dignity and respect for others.
  • Skills in planning, coordinating, directing, and evaluating diverse activities and projects.

Preferred:

  • Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC, CHC-F, CHRC, and/or CCEP).

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and move intermittently throughout the day. Capability to use a computer and communicate effectively in various formats. Ability to read job-related documents and travel as necessary.
