About the Role

The Vice President will be an integral part of a private investment firm, located in their office. This firm is dedicated to investing in middle market, founder-led, and family-owned enterprises, with investment amounts reaching up to $150M. They adopt a hands-on, operationally focused investment strategy with a high-touch, concentrated approach to the businesses they support. The firm primarily targets investments in the healthcare and technology-enabled services sectors.

Key Responsibilities

The Vice President will collaborate with senior investment professionals in various functions, including investment sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Financial Analysis - Develop financial models to evaluate cash flows, investment returns, and enterprise valuations for new investment prospects and existing portfolio entities.
  • Investment Approval Documentation - Prepare comprehensive memos and other necessary materials for the Investment Committee.
  • Market Research - Conduct thorough research on market dynamics, growth potential, demand drivers, and competitive landscape.
  • Third-Party Due Diligence - Coordinate diligence efforts with external partners, including senior lenders, accountants, attorneys, IT consultants, and strategy advisors.
  • Portfolio Oversight - Support ongoing monitoring and strategic initiatives for portfolio companies.
  • Investor Relations and Fundraising - Compile financial reports and valuation assessments of current portfolio companies for existing and prospective investors.
  • Marketing Support - Assist in promotional activities and represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Professional Experience & Qualifications

A minimum of 4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or credit/lending, with a preference for middle-market exposure.

Education

A bachelor's degree is required, with relevant advanced degrees considered a plus.

Salary

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
