Die-Matic Corporation, a leading manufacturer of progressive dies and metal parts, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Quality to join our team.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality management within the organization, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of quality management, including quality systems, internal audits, and supplier performance.
- Manage a department of 4, including CMMs, vision systems, PPAP, gage calibration, 8Ds/corrective actions, SPC, gauging, and other quality-related activities.
- Responsible for monitoring and tracking corporate measurables, supplier performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments, including manufacturing, engineering, and sales, to ensure quality and compliance.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, including lessons learned, mistake proofing, traceability, containment, and customer rejections/complaints.
- Recruit, train, and mentor quality team members, and work closely with HR and manufacturing to ensure effective talent management.
Requirements
- Prior management and leadership experience within manufacturing.
- Self-motivated, driven, goal-oriented, and hands-on.
- A leader and team player who can forge relationships with other departments, suppliers, and customers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Familiarity with automotive, IATF 16949 standards, ISO 14001, and other relevant industry standards.
- Detailed, organized, and computer literate, with the ability to follow through on tasks and projects.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement, internal and external audits, GD&T, feasibility reviews, measurement techniques, and other quality-related activities.
