Established in 1837, Cuyahoga County's safety-net health system encompasses four hospitals, four emergency departments, and over 20 health centers.
Summary:
Oversees and directs risk management initiatives and specialized projects. Aids in defining project scope, objectives, and budgetary considerations.
Develops comprehensive work plans and timelines, detailing requirements, tasks, assignments, resources, and key project milestones.
Facilitates collaboration among Ethics, Risk, and Compliance (ERC) personnel and external vendors engaged in various ERC projects. Enhances project management practices, program coordination, and reporting for the ERC Department. Collaborates with the ERC leadership team, providing regular and ad hoc support to the Board of Trustees. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.Qualifications:
Required:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience outlined below.
6-8 years of relevant experience, including some supervisory responsibilities. Proven experience in conducting sensitive and/or confidential reviews or investigations. Strong organizational and project management capabilities. Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively. Strong communication skills across various professional disciplines.Preferred: A Master's Degree (Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, etc.) or a Juris Doctorate. Certification in Risk Management. Certification in Patient Safety (CPSO, CHSP).
At least 1 year of experience as a Healthcare risk manager within a hospital environment or in the insurance sector.
Physical Demands:
May require intermittent movement throughout the day, including sitting, standing, bending, and walking. May need to maintain a stationary position for extended periods, whether sitting or standing. Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, email, and other communication methods. Ability to read job-related documents. Proficient in computer usage.
