Role Responsibilities

The Community Office Manager will be responsible for:

  • Event Coordination:
    • Overseeing site booking inquiries and managing communications.
    • Facilitating registration and check-in processes for community events.
    • Assisting in meeting preparations, including catering and material organization.
    • Acting as the primary contact for all community events.
    • Establishing and managing the community space reservation system.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Streamlining office operations and maintaining organizational systems.
    • Implementing office layouts and managing equipment procurement.
    • Developing and enforcing office policies and procedures.
    • Providing administrative support as required.
  • Facility Management:
    • Coordinating with vendors for maintenance and operational needs.
    • Overseeing supply and inventory management systems.
    • Identifying supply needs and establishing a consistent procurement process.
    • Ensuring cleanliness and organization of common areas.
    • Conducting routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Community Outreach:
    • Serving as a liaison for space reservations and internal communications.
    • Contributing to community newsletters and participating in local events.
    • Supporting SCP and partner initiatives.
  • Additional Goals:
    • By the end of the year, the manager will aim to:
    • Re-establish the Fitzgerald Community Business Collective.
    • Host at least one co-working day each week.
    • Facilitate a minimum of ten events or meetings monthly.
    • Enhance representation within the neighborhood through events and partnerships.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's Degree
  • Experience: 3-5 years in operations management, facilities management, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional organizational and multitasking capabilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in office technology and systems.
    • Experience in inventory management and vendor relations.
    • Efficient handling of administrative tasks.
    • Familiarity with event planning and community engagement.
  • Attributes:
    • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to task management.
    • Able to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities in unexpected situations.
    • Friendly demeanor with a commitment to excellent service.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
    • Basic knowledge of building maintenance is advantageous.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license.
  • Access to a personal vehicle for transportation of supplies and equipment.
